The Duchess of Sussex‘s half-sister Samantha Markle has told the royal her New Year’s resolution should be to ‘be honest’ and thank her father.
Samantha, who also sent Meghan a Christmas card begging her to ‘end the rift’ with father Thomas Markle, has reportedly been placed on a ‘fixated persons’ list by protection officers which she has since described as ‘fake news’ on Twitter.
Meghan’s estranged sister has made a series of public snipes at the pregnant 37 year old after she was not invited to the royal wedding in Windsor in May and is now urging Meghan to reach out to her father.

Samantha, who has been placed on a ‘fixated persons’ list by police officers, also said the royal, pictured with Prince Harry in Sandringham on Christmas Day, should eat more chocolate ‘to sweeten your disposition for the new year’
She said: ‘Your New Year’s resolution should be to be honest and pay tribute to those who have helped you the most such as your dad.
‘Thank him for your college education, your career, building every stage you set foot on, but really appreciate the people that care about you.’
It comes as The Duchess’s protection officers are understood to have briefed Scotland Yard detectives over the damage Samantha could cause to the royal family’s reputation.
Samantha has shot down those reports as ‘fake news’, tweeting Saturday that labeling her as ‘fixated’ is ‘ridiculous’ as she’s only ‘advocating for doing the right thing by our dad’, Thomas Markle.
Scotland Yard’s Fixated Threat Assessment Centre (FTAC) is a police unit which works with the NHS to identify risks posed by ‘lone individuals’ who stalk or harass public figures.

A Scotland Yard source told The Sunday Times: ‘Someone like Samantha presents a risk rather than a threat. She is not committing criminal offences, but she is causing concerns for the royal family.
‘There is big potential for some major embarrassment for the royals. Samantha could make a scene and create headlines with her actions — and let’s face it she’s kind of already done that.’
Last month Thomas Markle made a direct appeal to the Queen to intervene in the family feud.
In an interview on Good Morning Britain, he said: ‘I would be grateful for anything she can do.
‘I would think she would want to resolve any family problems. All families, royal or not, need to be together, especially in the holidays’.
Samantha also made a dig at her half-sister, adding: ‘And of course I would add to eat more chocolate to sweeten your disposition for the new year.’
