SAMSUNG’s answer to the Apple Watch has been accidentally leaked on its own website.
The rumoured Galaxy Watch, which hasn’t even been confirmed, just popped up on the company’s US site in a 42mm rose gold model.
It’s since vanished, but not before Cnet snapped a screenshot, giving us our best look yet at the upcoming gadget.
The pic above shows the front of the Galaxy Watch, including its round design and classic strap (both touting that admittedly pretty rose gold finish) with two buttons on the side.
Judging by the image, Samsung hasn’t abandoned the style of its Gear S range of smartwatches (no square face here, we’re afraid) in a bid to ape Apple’s big seller.
But it’s also not just a case of more of the same – well aside from it also running on Google‘s Android Wear operating system.
The gadget’s potential main attraction is actually hiding beneath its sleek exterior in the form of its Bixby voice assistant.
Having started life on the Galaxy S8, Samsung feels its brainiac is ready for a wider rollout on everything from more phones to domestic appliances (like fridges and ovens) and even the firm’s rumoured smart speaker.
Hopefully that means it will get the features it’s been sorely missing, such as the ability to control smart home gadgets and better music streaming functionality for apps like Spotify.
And to get it to work its magic, all you’ll have to do is talk to your brand spanking new Galaxy Watch by saying “Hi, Bixby” followed with a command.
Elsewhere, details on specs and additional features weren’t revealed by the gaffe.
The model number in the leaked listing, SM-R810NZDAXAR, didn’t match recent reported filings to the FCC (the US body that tests and certifies devices that emit a radio frequency), but the “R800” part matches earlier reports on the product line’s name, according to Cnet.
