SELENA Gomez looked downbeat as she was pictured for the first time since pal Demi Lovato was rushed to hospital.
The singer, 26, hugged a friend in the street as she wore a large Bon Jovi t-shirt with the slogan ‘Keep The Faith’ on the back.
The source said: “I’m sure she’s very upset.”
“They’ve been friends since they were kids and have always been there for each other whether they’ve been close or not.”
She was barefoot in the street, wearing a long brown cardigan and dark, round shades.
Selena’s mum earlier posted a message of support and a throwback snap of Demi with her daughter.
Mandy Teefey, 42, wrote: “This was exactly 10 yrs ago at S, Sweet 16.
“@ddlovato we love you. The world is a better place because of these infectious smiles.”
The snap shows the pair smiling as they toss rose petals into the air.
Earlier, Ant McPartlin’s estranged wife Lisa Armstrong threw her support behind troubled Demi.
The make-up artist “liked” a tweet which praised Demi for her struggle against addiction.

Initially, sources told TMZ that Demi had overdosed on heroin, but another insider said to be close to the singer has suggested to the website this is not the case.
The website has since published a report alleging Demi had spiralled back into substance abuse over the last few weeks.
They even claim she fell out with her sober coach earlier this month and suggest friends had been concerned about her for some time – even before she released poignant song Sober in June.
