Her lawyer Dmitry Zatsarinsky posted a video on Instagram, saying it showed her being arrested.

In the footage a woman, appearing to have been sedated, struggles as four men push her into a wheelchair and then carry her off.

The footage has now been widely shared on social media, including by Russian broadcasters.

Mr Zatsarinsky said Rybka had been planning to get a connecting flight to Minsk, Belarus, but had been seized in the transit zone on to Russian territory, then taken to a police station.

Local media have quoted a Russian interior ministry statement saying Rybka and three others detained with her at Moscow’s Sheremetyevo airport are accused of “luring into prostitution and practising it”.

Along with Rybka, Alexander Kirillov, also a self-styled sex guru who had been in custody in Thailand with her.

The pair had been running a bizarre four-day “sex training” class where they claimed they could teach people how to make their partners climax.

They spent nine months in custody before a Thai court handed them a suspended 18-month sentence for soliciting and running an illegal “sex training course”.

They were then deported on Thursday.

During their time in custody the pair sought help from the US embassy, saying they feared by extradited to Russia.

Rybka says she has evidence of Russian interference in the 2016 US presidential election campaign, allegedly obtained through an acquaintance with Russian billionaire industrialist Oleg Deripaska.

She claims she has some 16 hours of footage that showed Deripaska discussing the election with three unidentified Americans.

Mr Deripaska denied the allegations and successfully sued both her and Kirillov.

Rybka was arrested in 2017 after making a film of a man and a woman having sex in the middle of Moscow.
