Sheets. Officer kicked to say black men as they do not belong in the city

An Arkansas police officer has been fired after a video was uploaded on Facebook by him to tell a group of black men that they “do not belong” in his city.

Although the video was released Tuesday, it was filmed on 21st of July by Demarcus Bunch in his hometown of England. He and his cousin Shannon Scribner were in town and shot a music video.

Bunch said that while they recorded some of his video, Mike Moore lowered himself and parked nearby until the group packed up and left.

“I wondered,” why does he do this? “Wondered Bunch.” We are in small England. Everyone knows everyone. “

Feeling uncomfortable, Bunch and filmmaking went to their last shooting spot.

The officer pulled himself shortly after them.

” He slowed down again to see just what we did, “Bunch said.” It was then my cousin and I said, “Let’s go and let him know who we are and what we do.”

The uncle of Bunch and Scribner is also a police officer in England.

Below is a transcript of the conversation in the video:

Ofc. Moore: “I’m Mike Moore. “

Bunch: ” We are Dale Scribner’s nephews. “[19659009] Scribner: ” We’re just trying to record a video. “

Ofc. Moore: “Okay and?”

Bunch: ] “We just noticed that you’ve followed us everywhere.”

Ofc. Moore: Are you recording right now

Bunch: “Yes, we are.”

Ofc. Moore: “You know why? Because you do not belong in my city. “

Bunch: ” We are from here. “

Ofc. Moore: ” But you understand, I know who my people are, right, who belongs and who does not? We have gang war, we have all kinds of things. big city where these things are small, ok so it’s cool. Do your things. “

Bunch: ” You said we do not belong in your city? “

Ofc. Moore: ” Can I say anything? I’ve never seen you here before, and I almost feel everyone here. “

Bunch: ” I grew up here in 101. I graduated from England High. “

Ofc. Moore: ” Good, good to you, my name is Mike Moore. I’m not from here. Step away from my car, I’m getting my dog. “

The officer thought he was living in an area for almost three minutes, getting his K-9 out of the vehicle and then putting it back.

Bunch and Scribner said they did not do anything wrong and thought that Moore and Chief Danna Powell would be held responsible for his actions.

Bunch said he was talking to another uncle, Kevin Scribner, who advised them to reach Chief Powell

“We wanted to give the boss the opportunity to perform his investigation,” said Scribner. The video was near the chest and waited for her to respond. “

It has been 15 days since the men left their official complaint. They say they have not yet received their copies or the results of the police’s harassment investigation.

On Tuesday, they released the video on Facebook, where it was shared close to y 1000 times.

Chief Powell would not agree to go to camera. Powell sent a press release Wednesday night saying Moore was terminated from his position on police force.

During our survey, Moore and Lieutenant, who interviewed Bunch and Scribner, both came to the police department from the Lonoke County Sheriff Office.

Lonoke County Sheriff John Staley said Moore was abandoned from his position at the Sheriff’s Office before his employment at the England Police Department, where he was also kicked.

“It’s not a competition question, it’s a personality question. He was terminated from the Lonoke County Sheriff Office because he could not agree with other officers and other bodies,” said Staley.

Rizelle Aaron, a former England police and social activist, said he also filed a police complaint against the department after an incident in October following a home football match.

“The summary version of what happened is an investigation stop,” he said. “I told him,” I used to be a police officer. “He said,” where? ” I said, “Here in England. You have no right or probable reason to pull me over.” “

Aaron said that the officer claimed he was worried about the security of another officer whom he claimed Aaron followed his headlamp shine.

” We had not followed anyone around, “said Aaron.

Bunch said he hopes Moore will not be allowed to work in law enforcement again after the interaction caught on video. 19659045] “Personally, I feel that the boss should also be held responsible for his ability to continue working for as long as he has worked after showing the video, says Bunch.
