Shocking moment a cyclist is mown down by an angry driver

A cyclist is knocked off his bicycle when an enraged driver hits out at him for cycling between queuing cars.

The driver of a silver Ford Focus shouts out to the cyclist to ‘keep to the side of the road’ during the altercation at a set of traffic lights in Greenwich.

He says: ‘Keep to the side of the road, you’re not a car.’

And he repeats the sentence multiple times before the cyclist moves to cross in front of the car to wait in the designated cycle bay.

But the driver, who is clearly angry, gets more riled up as the cyclist remains in the middle of the road.

He says ‘test me’ before driving his car forwards until he knocks the cyclist off his bicycle.

Reversing the car he drives away as the man is forced to pick himself of the road and check his bicycle.

And as he steps away from the road and on to the pavement the cars who witnessed the bizarre road rage drive past.

No one stops to offer support and one car even beeps his horn as if to ask the cyclist to move off the road quicker.

A comment on the video, which was taken with a dashcam attached to the back of the bicycle and posted to YouTube, read: ‘Sad that nobody stopped to offer assistance. Good job you have cameras.’

Another said: ‘Many are saying that you should never go in front of a driver like this, but I hope the risk you took can get this dangerous driver off the road for good and that would be a really positive outcome.’
