THIS is the shocking moment a London Underground tube travelled at speeds of around 40mph with its doors wide open.
Passengers who were filmed sitting just inches from the gap don’t seem to bat an eyelid as the Jubilee line train hurtles along the track.
Those on board later confirmed that at least 10 doors on the train were open as it made its way between Finchley Road and West Hampstead stations on Saturday morning.
The clip was posted online by commuter Christiano Nops who wrote: “Took the Jubilee line Saturday with @roryfergusbrown and the driver thought it was ok to leave the doors open…better than the air con but not particularly safe!?!”
His friend Rory Brown also shared the clip on Twitter.
He added: “@TfL new way to keep tubes cool in the summer – leaving the doors open. Pretty bloody sketchy! #whatishealthandsafety?”

Transport for London said that the faulty train had since been taken out of service.
They wrote: “Hi Rory, we were made aware of this yesterday and the train was taken out of service and currently under investigation so thanks for letting us know. Sorry for any inconvenience caused and hope your journey was okay.”
