A teenage girl in the Washington state was badly injured when someone drove her off a bridge.
The Longview Daily News reports Jordan Holgerson, 16, suffered five broken ribs and internal injuries Tuesday when she was driven by a bridge at Moulton Falls in northern Clark County.
“She’s lucky she’s not paralyzed or dead. We’re lucky she will recover and not have permanent damage,” says Genelle Holgerson, Jordan’s mother.
A video of the event published on YouTube shows Jordan in a swimsuit that is on the open side of the rack. People are counting down, “3 … 2 … 1
.” When the teens are hesitant, one sees a pair of weapons on the bridge. Jordan screams and her arms clap before she hears splashing in
KGW reports that somebody swung out to save Jordan and she was then rushed to the PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center.
In addition to breaking her ribs, Jordan suffered a blue-eyed esophagus, injured her trachea and caught the air caught in her
Genelle Holgerson said the identity of the person who drives her daughter is known. The woman had apparently become impatient with Jordan and did not even jump.
“I am very upset about her. She is an adult, and I’m sure she should have felt better. She could have killed my daughter, said Genelle Holgerson.
Jordan Holgerson said in an interview with KGW that the so-called “friend” who drives her has apologized, but that is not enough.
“I could have,” she said. “It could have ended much worse.”
The Clark County Sheriff Office investigates the event and will determine if the girl is going to meet the penalty.
