A GANG of vicious yobs launched a sickening attack on a family battering two of them unconscious as they were out celebrating an upcoming wedding.
The seven men launched the attack near Revolution Bar in Manchester and even continued the brutal assault after two men lay unconscious in the road.
The attack started after the group of five men and women left the bar at around 2.20am on April 28.
Two of the group were left unconscious in the middle of the street after being repeatedly punched, kicked and stamped on by the yobs.
Greater Manchester Police said one of the attackers was also seen brandishing a knife during the vile assault.
One of the victims was left with a bleed on the brain while other members of the revellers suffered from severe concussion, a fractured cheekbone as well as cuts and bruises.
Three people needed hospital treatment.
The gang members are described by cops as being white and thought to be aged in their 20s.
Detective Constable Catherine Kittley, of GMP’s City of Manchester Division, said: “This was a sustained and unprovoked assault on five people who were doing nothing more than enjoying an evening out to celebrate an upcoming wedding.
“The entire incident was captured on CCTV and the level of violence used by the group makes it a difficult watch – what should have been a night of enjoyment has left the group with awful memories.
“Two of the victims were left unconscious on the floor, yet the CCTV clearly shows the group of offenders continue to attack them with blows to the head; and I’d like to stress just how lucky the victims are that they weren’t more seriously injured.
“I appreciate that it has been a number of weeks since the incident, but the footage we have released today is of a good quality and I’d urge people to think back to what was a busy night in the City Centre.
“If you can identify anyone involved then please get in touch and give us their names so we can get these dangerous individuals off our streets.”
