Stacey Solomon shares thrilling days out with her kids and tips to slash the cost — plus win FREE tickets to Alton Towers worth over £100

LIKE most mums Stacey Solomon has a hectic life, juggling work and kids.

That’s why the telly star’s idea of the perfect day is spending quality time with her family. With the return of The Sun’s Superdays, there’s no one else I’d rather invite to Alton Towers Resort than Stacey and her sons Zachary, 11, and Leighton, six.

I asked Stacey about their favourite days out and how expensive it can be, so I’ve shared some money-saving tips for you. . .

WHAT do you do with the boys when you get some time together?

“Zac and Leighton are such thrill-seekers. Any sort of activity and they love it. The more adventurous the better.”

My tip: If your kids love getting outdoors but you want to save on costs, I’d suggest looking for exciting offers via voucher sites like or Wowcher. Currently you can get £10 off when you book a trip via Groupon.

IF they got to pick, would would be their idea of a great day out?

“They love theme parks and get excited about all the fastest rides. Alton Towers is their idea of heaven. They loved the Spinball Whizzer rollercoaster so much that they went on it again, straight away.”

My tip: What better way to save than to get something for free? From today, enter one Sun Savers code (at the bottom of page 20 in the paper) every day for nine days and you can claim two FREE tickets to Alton Towers Resort worth over £100.

WHEN you’re together, what do the boys like to eat?

“I’ll always let them have a treat like pizza or burgers when we’re out for the day. But I try to make sure they have some salad or vegetables. They are quite good boys like that but they always try to push their luck and want fast food on the way home.”

My tip: Look for discounts and offers at the place you’re going to by checking the website or the back of the tickets. Check children’s menus, too. At Pizza Hut, the Big Heroes menu includes a drink, main, side, dessert and salad for £7.99.
