The video shows the out-of-control truck speeding towards the cliff after its ‘brakes failed’ near a hotel in Yalta, Crimea.
It gains more and more speed as it approaches the edge of the road – the driver opening his door to jump from the vehicle.

The door swings against the side of the MAZ truck as it continues to hurtle downhill.
The lorry then smashes through a fence and flies through the air above the outdoor water park of the four-star Yalta-Intourist Hotel.
Miraculously, no one was hurt as the resort’s water park was closed for the winter season.
‘The truck driver lost control of the vehicle,’ said the Interior Ministry in the territory annexed by Russia from Ukraine in 2014.

Several security men were on duty at the park, which is part of the 1,140-room Soviet-era hotel, at the time.
A local said: ‘This could have been a complete disaster during the summer season when the water park is packed with tourists.’
Police are investigating the circumstances of the crash but the driver claims his ‘brakes failed’ on the road.
