This is the terrifying moment a man almost fell over 100 ft out of a tree he was cutting back.
The scary footage shows the unidentified man swinging wildly around the of the tree high across the forest ground.
The video begins with the woodchucker working to chop off the top of a vast evergreen tree in what looks like a forest.
Definitely a tree hugger man: The man (pictured) faced the terrifying ordeal of dangling over a hundred feet in the air in the incident
It appears that the man is coming towards the end of his job, as all the branches below have already been cut off, readying the tree to be felled.
Finally he makes the caving through the head of the tree, probably thinking that the few branches above will not cause too much of an issue.
Hoping to have made a clean cut, he moves down the tree to allow the top to fall off down to the ground.
The man can be seen working to chop off the top of the large tree, believed to be in a north California forest
Working at 100 feet up in the air, the tree gently sways from side to side as the man carries out his work
But as the top of the tree starts to fall, the man realises that it is still partly attached to main trunk
But to his surprise the top segment is still partially attached as it begins to fall off.
The piece of wood whips down underneath and begins to shake the tree violently.
The man clings to the trunk for dear life, as his chainsaw swings at his waist and a green bottle falls the full distance down to the ground with a thud.
The tree head whips back underneath the man and shakes the tree violently, almost launching him out of it
A green bottle can be seen falling out of the tree and landing with a thud on the ground as the worker tries to get a hold of chainsaw after he lost grip of it in the accident
As the tree starts to calm from the shaking, the man can still be seen clinging closely to the trunk waiting for the nightmarish accident to end.
The incredible video was sent in by Steve Laviletta who lives in Philo, California near to the Mendocino National Forest.
It is believed a ‘rookie ground crew’ almost caused the potentially severe accident as the man was left swinging around the main trunk.
