Charlie Newling was booted from The Bachelorette on Thursday night.
And the 31-year-old builder is now spilling secrets from the set of the show.
Speaking with Now To Love late last week, the divisive reality star says his high-profile feud with fellow contestant Bill Goldsmith was exaggerated.
‘It gave us a lot of air time!’ The Bachelorette’s Charlie Newling (right) claims his feud with Bill Goldsmith (left) was ‘fabricated’ and the producers ‘loved it’
Now To Love has described the pair’s rivalry as ‘fabricated’ and ‘completely fake’.
Charlie explained to the publication: ‘We had a bit of a rivalry at the start, we didn’t really understand each other and there were a few issues there, and then we got passed that.’
He added: ‘We thought, you know what, the producers love it and the show loves it, so let’s just really play this up. It was just entertainment for us.’
Booted! It seems Charlie is spilling secrets from the set after being eliminated by Ali Oetjen
‘It came across great and it gave us a lot of air time,’ he further boasted.
In one memorable showdown on The Bachelorette Charlie took a swipe at Bill in front of the other suitors during a rose ceremony.
The incident occurred after Ali Oetjen chose to keep Bill in the Bachelorette mansion.
Still in the running: Bill is one of the final three contestants remaining
‘I am gobsmacked. Bill definitely needs to go, everybody here knows that,’ Charlie raged afterwards.
‘It’s terrible and excruciating to see that some good friends of mine going home while there’s a guy here completely taking the p*** who has gotten through.’
Charlie added: ‘And it’s all because the truth hasn’t come out yet. It’s really hard to watch.’
Moving on: Charlie was initially a fan favourite before his fortunes faded on the show
