Bachelorette stars Charlie Newling and Bill Goldsmith are locked in a bitter war of words as they compete for Ali Oetjen’s heart.
Sydney builder Charlie even compared Melbourne mechanical plumber Bill to Ali’s ex-boyfriend Grant Kemp during an explosive interview with TV Week on Monday.
‘[Bill] reminds me of her ex, Grant,’ Charlie said, before suggesting that his rival ‘has something to hide’.

‘I don’t trust him. I can see through him. He’s not being honest with Ali and he’s saying what she wants to hear. Out of everyone, he’s the only one who hasn’t shared his story. To me, he’s hiding something.’
In response, Bill claimed Charlie, both 31, is ‘very jealous’ and lacks maturity.
‘He was very jealous and every time someone came back from a single date, he wouldn’t speak to them for, like, a week,’ Bill told the publication.

‘He never said ‘well done’ or shook my hand. He showed his true colours pretty early on.’
It comes amid speculation that Charlie could win the show.
Last week, Daily Mail Australia compiled evidence that seemingly proves Charlie wins Ali’s heart.
Will he win? It comes amid speculation that Charlie could win the show
Firstly, in the weeks leading up to the show’s launch, Charlie was featured heavily in early trailers as fans were introduced to him before the other suitors.
‘How am I not going to fall in love with this guy?’ Ali asked after first meeting Charlie.
Other previews for the season also showed Charlie enjoying a series of intimate dates with the blonde account manager.
In one promo, they kiss during a paddle boarding date, and in another they are seen having a deep and meaningful conversation.

Did she reveal too much? During an interview with The Kyle & Jackie O Show on Wednesday, Ali listed all the characteristics she wants in a man… which appeared to describe Charlie to a T
During an interview with The Kyle & Jackie O Show on Wednesday, Ali also dropped hints that Charlie was her chosen suitor.
When asked what she is looking for in a partner, she confessed: ‘I want someone that shares a healthy lifestyle with me.’
This perfectly describes muscle-bound Charlie, whose Instagram page eerily mirrors Ali’s with its gym selfies and sponsored posts for protein shakes and supplements.

Ali also said on KIIS FM that she is looking for someone ‘that has strong family values and is looking to start their own family.’
Ticking even more of her boxes, Charlie confessed in the first episode: ‘I want the house with the white picket fence, I want the kids and I want to settle down.’
It is also clear the tradesman has strong family values too, with a woman believed to be his cousin writing on social media after the premiere: ‘Charlie is a good man with a super huge heart’.

Lastly, Ali told Kyle and Jackie that the most important trait she wants in a partner is someone that is a ‘true gentleman’ because she ‘doesn’t want chivalry to be dead’.
Once again, this perfectly describes Charlie and his glowing portrayal so far.
While early teasers for the show have featured cocktail party brawls and suitors coming to blows, Charlie by contrast has been edited as the voice of reason.
In one scene, he seemingly stops an argument by warning one of the other contestants, ‘She’s not going to forgive you’.
