Channel 4’s latest reality show will see the group of wannabe stars competing to be the most popular – just by using social media.

The series, which starts tonight is billed as a cross between Big Brother, Catfish and Black Mirror and is nothing like we’ve ever seen before.

Each contestant will move into a newly refurbished block of flats in London and will be handed the keys to their own apartment.

None of the stars will ever meet one another in person, until they are knocked out of the game.

Instead they will communicate with one another by a specially designed social media app.

The Circle begins on Channel 4 tonight at 9.15pm.
