We’ve almost all had X-mas the right gifts over the years that, for better because worse, we’ll never forget. I asked you really guys over on our IG page what your most memorable ones happen to be and you had quite interesting gifts to convey the least…
We’ve almost all had …
My mom put a toy 4wheeler in the box with some dirt bike magazines, it took me a few mins trying to find out where the key went in the toy, when I asked where’s the real one. It’s in the shed.
The Batmobile. That was one sweet ride. (Toy car) probably about 12-14 inches in length. Would never stop playing Arkham city with all the patients and batman himself.
My dog. 15 years later he’s still my best friend. I have to help him standup sometimes now but he’s helped me so much more.
My mom and dad got me a gold chain when I was about 15. 44 years old and I still wear it, only taken it off a handful of times.
Snappy Goat Gave two to my parents. Painting a pic of my Dad hopping on a plane after he married my Mom in his Nancy Blues as he headed off to ‘Nam. And this year – Dad found an old roll of 8mm film of their wedding day and I got it processed on the sly.
They’d lost or could never find any video or pics from their wedding over the years. Married 50 years in 2018.
A radio control monster truck when I was about 10. Cost about 30 bucks. We were poor and it meant a lot.
Castle Grayskull when I was 8. My dad had it set up under the tree.
A Crossman BB Gun.
A cheap set of gold clubs, I didn’t care, it was my first set, and I still just beat the shit out of that little white ball.
A knobber from the neighbor’s daughter
Game boy color.
Game boy Pocket
My first and only bass guitar. I’ve had it for over 10 years now. My daughter wants to learn it, so for Christmas, I’m gifting her my most prized possession.
StretchMan Armstrong. Had that thing forever.
I’ll never forget when my mom bought me an Xbox 360. That year she divorced my abusive step dad, we literally had moved to a new town/new house 2 weeks before Xmas. It was the only thing I got because she wanted me to have something fun while I dealt with my own emotional issues of everything that just happened.
She also re-ignited my love for gaming that he took away from me making me feel like a loser for loving it.
I received a Bone Marrow Donor from Germany >>Christmas 2005
I was 4-5, I circled twin baby dolls in the toy catalog. I didn’t understand how catalogs worked so I thought it was impossible to get them. I was so shocked when I actually got them. I kept those things into adulthood.
I had a cousin who was an alcoholic but he was a good guy not an abuser or anything like that. We had a family Christmas and he and I exchanged gifts, he gave me a black pair of socks. He was really proud and I thanked him but I was kinda like “oh boy”.
He passed away years ago and now I wish I could get a pair of those socks every year from him. Merry Christmas, Larry.
Ninja turtles with the van and sewer hideout. Next Xmas was the Technodrome with Krang and Rocksteady & Bebop.
The year I got the Ghostbusters proton pack and ghost trap is still my favorite.
Now your turn. What are your guy’s most memorable gifts from X-Mas past?
