Petty revenge stories run the range from diabolical to truly good
Ten years ago or so, I was camping with friends outside Fruita CO. The day after a long night of drinking and bad sleep I was trying to grab a nap in my tent. A friend of mine thought it would be funny to throw a leftover burrito from previous night’s dinner at my tent repeatedly, giggling every time I cursed him for doing it. Finally I had to give up on the nap and go the hair of the dog route instead.
The next day the trip was over and we all headed home. Cue petty revenge. While my friend wasn’t looking, I placed said burrito quietly in his glovebox. Now this was middle of summer, friend lives in Denver where daytime highs in the 90s.
Two weeks later I get call from friend who, after cleaning his entire car and looking for dead animals in his engine, finally opened his glove box to foulness I can’t imagine. And the best part is the second he saw it, he knew who put it there and that he deserved the Hell out of it. Sometimes revenge is best served hot and fetid. Minimum_Wage_Yaaaa
I was trying to find a parking spot at my university. The lot was notoriously crowded but my campus didn’t have a lot of options. While searching, I saw a Corvette taking up FOUR prime spots near the front of the lot. After about ten minutes of waiting/looking for a spot one opened up towards the back of the lot.
Furious at the nerve of the driver being so inconsiderate, I wrote a note saying, “Sorry I hit your car, you probably won’t even notice the damage” and left it on their windshield. When I got out of class and was headed back to my car, I saw a very stereotypical college aged Corvette owner frantically searching their vehicle while yelling into their phone. I don’t know who they were talking to, but I feel bad for them having to deal with this person. asdf_qwerty27
Heres a bit of backstory, we bought the house about a year ago, it’s down a long driveway and we sit behind the houses directly on the roadside. The house in front of us has always parked on the roadside (despite having a driveway) and the rear of their cars are always blocking 1-3ft of my drive. It’s still enough room to get out but it’s a pain, we never made an issue because they’re otherwise good neighbours. Until about 2 months ago
I finished work and came home around 2am, there had been a big storm, one of their trees had fallen on my drive so I parked in front of their house, walked down the driveway and figured I’d deal with it in the morning when the weather had cleared, plus it’s not my tree so not really my responsibility.
I’m woken up from my crying partner telling me the neighbour had just berated her for parking in front of their house, which is THEIR park (it’s clearly not, it’s a public roadside).
I go out to see them, same situation nutcase lady starts berating me for parking in their spot, I told her the only reason my truck was there was because there was a tree on my driveway earlier, she insists on being a childish idiot so I pretty much walk away, there was nothing to gain from continuing that conversation.
I call the local council to see what can be done about them blocking my drive, turns out it’s not only highly illegal to block my drive but it’s illegal to park within 3ft of my driveway boundary too, basically the whole area has to stay clear to allow for big emergency vehicles etc. But they aren’t allowed to park within 3ft of their own drive either, so it basically means a vehicle could not park between our 2 driveways unless it was a moped or something.
The council has a 24hr contractor who issues fines for parking violations, so I call them every couple days for a few weeks to report them blocking my drive. I always finish work at 2am which is when I call, so the owners are never awake when the ticket is issued, it also basically makes the ticket impossible to dispute. After maybe 10 fines to 4 different vehicles at $160 each, the ticketing officer and the council get sick of coming out so they start towing the vehicles. 2 cars towed in 2 days.
Now I have been enjoying my free passage driveway for about a month now and lifes pretty good, and they have to park all their stupid vehicles further down the street and out of my life. I_love_buttts
Happened last week shortly after leaving work at 5PM. I’m at a light that is green but suddenly I hear sirens. Being from a family full of first responders, I stopped. I was always told that if you hear a siren, you stop until it passes because you never know if someone is dying in that ambulance, fire, etc.
Well, the lady in the car behind me proceeds to honk and throw up her hands as if she’s annoyed that I’m not going… as an ambulance is passing. I flip her the bird, naturally. But to make it even sweeter… when the ambulance is gone the light is still green. So I start moving, but I make sure I go just slow enough where she gets stuck at the light a second time.
The last thing I saw was her stuck at the light (again) mouthing something and throwing her hands up. Told my dad, who has been a firefighter for almost 15 years, he was proud too.,
