THE View in ‘chaos’ as producers struggle to find ‘Trump Republican’ like Candace Owens to replace Meghan McCain
McCain’s resignation came after:
- McCain slammed Olympian for portraying US as “cr**hole”
- She said Biden’s abortion stance is “doing grave harm to US”
- Whoopi ripped her for saying Biden “embarrassed himself”
- McCain called Vice President Kamala Harris a “moron”
Earlier this month, McCain quit The View live on-air after saying she’s “done” with her co-star clashes, and joked they have “four weeks of fighting left.”
The show is now scrambling to find McCain’s replacement, who was infamous for her strong political opinions on the show.

An insider said that McCain’s on-air rival Joy Behar was reportedly upset about Meghan’s departure fearing that her replacement “won’t put up with her crap”[/caption]

“It’s chaos behind the scenes at The View,” an ABC insider told the Daily Mail.
“Joy Behar is openly moaning about Meghan leaving as it’s finally hit her that sometimes it is better the devil you know.”
“Joy has only just realized that they could be getting someone much further right on the political spectrum than Meghan who won’t put up with her crap,” they added.
The source said that a bold move would be to make a “massive shake up” and hire a popular conservative.
This could be Kimberly Guilfoyle, Megyn Kelly or even Candace Owens, the source said, to “give the other women a run for their money.”
The show has reportedly even attempted to hire Guilfoyle, who is Trump’s eldest son Don Jr’s girlfriend, three times when she worked at Fox News.
“‘[Kimberly] would be great as she would literally prosecute the other members of the panel every day of the week,” the source said. “One of our highest-rated episodes ever was when she stopped by the show with Don Jr.”
However, the source added that Kelly “would do the same, however her new Sirius deal makes it hard for her to come to us.”
Pre-existing guest host, Anna Navarro, is reportedly also hoping for the permanent spot, but – according to the source – will not get it.
“Ana Navarro is angry because she desperately wants Meghan’s job but she’s convinced they’re not going to give her a full time seat at the table.
“Ana doesn’t deserve the chair. She is not a Republican in the true sense of the word, all she does is slam people who voted for Trump.
“We need to hire a Trump Republican to reach more of the available audience at home. Ana is not the person.”
Meghan joined the cast of The View in October of 2017 and has been on the air for a total of four seasons.
CLASHES WITH CO-HOSTS
Despite her longevity on the show, the politician’s daughter has been clashing with her co-hosts of late.
Last month, Whoopi Goldberg slammed Meghan for saying President Biden “embarrassed himself” while meeting Russia’s Vladimir Putin.
The two ladies got into a heated debate after the Arizona native claimed Biden’s turning down of a CNN reporter’s question was “100 percent Trumpy.”

“I don’t care if you don’t care, just hear what I’m saying,” Whoopi complained while Meghan interjected: “I don’t care if you don’t care that I don’t care.”
“Well then good Meghan,” the 65-year-old replied, adding: “Then you can be how you always are.”
“You’ll be how you always are,” Meghan finished.
