The Widow fans baffled as they spot man wearing Crystal Palace top deep in the Congo

THE Widow fans were left baffled this evening as they spotted a man wearing an old Crystal Palace football top in the middle of the Congo.

During tonight’s episode Georgia (played by Kate Beckinsale) continued to try and track down her husband Will, who supposedly died in a plane crash.

Viewers spotted a Crystal Palace supporter

She heads to Kisima on the hunt for answers with a medical charity under the pretence of being a journalist to get to the heart of where Will went missing – and it’s on her way she bumps into the man in the old football shirt.

Those watching at home were baffled by the random moment and took to Twitter to comment on it.

One person wrote: “Anyone just spot the Crystal Palace top the old guy was wearing in #thewidow.”

A second commented:  “All the blokes being made to watch this by their partners have just become interested when the old guy came on wearing an old Palace football shirt. It was worth it in the end lads. #TheWidow”

It was a surprising scene for viewers at home

While a third added: “Of all the football shirts in the world, he’s wearing a Palace shirt #TheWidow.”

And a fourth tweeted:  “So a random Crystal Palace fan turns up in The Congo  #TheWidow #cpfc.”

The old man appeared to be working for the militia because he advises them to take a different path in the jungle and they end up getting held a gun point by a gang who steal their vehicle.

When a member of the group tries to take Georgia hostage she ends up shooting one of them.

The latest episode was once again full of twists and turns as viewers got more of an idea about what actually happened in the plane crash.

They learnt that Emmanuel’s pregnant wife was given a bag containing a lap top, which exploded when she opened it.
