Partey was a surprise inclusion in the Gunners squad for Sunday’s North London derby – after Mikel Arteta said he would ‘miss the next few games’ last week.
He has not featured for the club since he was hauled off at half-time during the 3-0 defeat to Aston Villa with a thigh injury.
But he made a rapid recovery in the days before the bitter rivals clashed.
However, it all proved too good to be true for Arteta.
His testing afternoon began after just 13 minutes when Heung-min Son scored a screamer on the counter attack.
And Arsenal’s misery was compounded on the stroke of half-time when Son turned provider for strike partner Kane who hammered the ball in off the crossbar at the near post.
Footage showed Ghanaian Partey hobbling off the pitch as Spurs sprung an attack from deep.
And in a bizarre development, Arteta was seen shepherding the crocked star back on the pitch to help defend.

But Arteta’s efforts were in vain as Partey turned back to the touchline after attempting a job just as Kane rifled the ball home with his left foot.
Partey was replaced by Dani Ceballos who came on in the holding midfield role alongside Granit Xhaka.
Ahead of the North London derby, Arteta claimed Jose Mourinho is still the Special One.
