Auckland Lodge was three lengths off the pace first up at Hamilton without being asked too many questions. She should take a step forward from that.
Midnight Mimosa is related to winning juvenile sprinters and is worth a look in the market on this debut.
KEEP BUSY has shown promise on both starts so far with a close-up third at Newcastle before finishing second at Catterick last time out. She had a lot left in the tank crossing the line and this testing finish should help.
Endowed did well to finish third at Chester last time despite his saddle slipping and has more to offer.
Street Life is the other runner with experience and can do better than his seventh at Newcastle latest.
STORM AHEAD looked ahead of the handicapper when winning at Doncaster last time over this distance. He stays a bit further, which is no harm at Carlisle, and should run well under a 5lb penalty.
Redarna is looking for a hat-trick of wins here and a penalty may not be enough to stop him for in-form trainer Dianne Sayer.
Burj and Paparazzi are both capable of better than we’ve seen recently and can’t be ruled out.
LATEST IN HORSE RACING
CLUB WEXFORD went from the front and fought off all challengers when scoring at Ayr last time out. He will probably need to pull off similar tactics here but is clearly thriving and a 4lb penalty shouldn’t stop him.
Al Erayg was held up for too long when a fast-finishing fifth at Thirsk last time and will be more of a threat if slightly closer to the pace here.
Saisons D’Or has been a model of consistency and followed up two wins with a good second at Thirsk and is still on a fair mark.
RAKE’S PROGRESS ran really well to win at Goodwood last time and a 2lb rise in the weights gives him every chance of following up. That success came over today’s trip and he goes on any ground.
Where’s Jeff is in good form and followed a Beverley win with a close-up third in a hot race at York last time. He goes off the same mark today and should be right there again.
Appointed carries a penalty for winning at Ripon and has chances despite this looking a stronger contest.
VIADERA looks the one to beat after winning nicely at The Curragh latest. She went close to winning a Group 3 contest there last season and this 7f trip should suit nicely at a course where stamina is a premium.
Fellow Irish raider Cava was less than three lengths off the pace in a Listed race at Musselburgh last time and this quicker ground may help. She won’t be far away, while Modern Millie ran well at Royal Ascot last week and has more to offer.
CAUSTIC LOVE got the better of a big field here last time by almost four lengths so a 6lb penalty shouldn’t be an issue. This slightly longer distance won’t be an issue provided she handles this quicker ground.
Supaulette has gone close on her past two runs at Redcar and Thirsk. This trip and going suit so she should be right there again.
Polyphony enjoyed this track when second here last time and a 2lb rise in the weights looks fair.
