Tom Daley and Matty Lee have clinched GOLD in the men’s 10-metre synchronised diving after a nervous wait to find out if they have won.

The pair nailed their final dive and just edged out the defending champions China.

And then Tom Pidcock romped to gold in the men’s mountain biking in a totally dominant performance.

Adam Peaty earlier won Team GB’s first gold medal of the Tokyo games after breezing through the 100m breaststroke.

Lauren Williams is guaranteed at least a silver medal in the women’s Taekwondo final with the gold medal fight taking place at 1.30pm.

Meanwhile Alex Yee has picked up the silver in the triathlon at the age of 23 after being edged out by outstanding Norwegian Kristian Blummenfelt.

And Team GB have triumphed in both their men’s rugby sevens, as well as men’s and women’s and hockey matches.
