Tokyo Olympics LIVE RESULTS: Team GB set record in 4x100m relay heat, Liam Heath bronze in canoe sprint – updates

TEAM GB are hoping to win more medals on Day 13 of the Olympics.

Dina Asher-Smith has returned to the track in the 4x100m relay as the Brits BLITZED the field to set the fastest time in the heats.

The British women set a national record of 41.55sec and are the favourites going into the final and the men are also in the final after finishing second in their semi.

Elsewhere Liam Heath is among the favourites as he looks to defend his Olympic title in the 200m canoe race.

And Hector Pardoe had a day to forget in the 10km marathon swimming as he thought his EYE had popped out of its socket after getting elbowed in the face.

The open water swimmer was forced to abandon his swim and had to head back to the athletes’ village for stitches following his nightmare incident in Tokyo Bay’s marina… and he lost his goggles too.

For Katarina Johnson-Thompson’s boyfriend Andrew Pozzi it was seventh in the 110m hurdles final.
