TWO people have been killed and dozens injured after a theme park ride snapped in half mid-air.
Shocking video footage shows the metal arm of the packed ride break as it swings in the air in Ahmedabad, India.



The 31 people on board the pendulum Discovery ride were sent crashing to the ground and 27 are being treated in hospital.
At least two died and disturbing images show bloodied bodies strewn across the ground with others trapped in their seats.
Visitors at the park desperately rushed over to try and free those stranded after the part of the ride they were sitting in collided with the main structure.

Vijay Nehra, Ahmedabad’s municipal commissioner, said an inquiry has been ordered to see what caused the horrific incident yesterday.
He said: “Police, along with a forensic team, reached the spot to find out the reasons behind the accident.”
Ahmedabad mayor Bijal Patel added: “Twenty-nine people were brought to the hospital out of whom two died while 27 are being treated.”

The maintenance of the ride is now being probed and an investigation has been launched to see whether the Kankaria Ad venture Park had a proper licence to operate it.
It comes just weeks after a 19-year-old girl was killed when a rotating ride came crashing down at a park in Jizzakh, a city in ex-Soviet state Uzbekistan.
Horrific footage showed the moment it broke in mid-air sending dozens plunging to the ground and leaving one girl dead.
