The Gypsy King was left shocked when he heard the news of the WBC mandate[/caption]

That’s because the WBC have ordered the winner of Fury vs Wilder to face the interim titleholder if they can’t, within 30 days, finalise an undisputed fight with Oleksandr Usyk, who is contractually obliged to give Anthony Joshua a rematch.

Fury, 33, said: “That’s something I’ve not been told or am even interested in right now.

“I’ve got Deontay Wilder to deal with first and then we’ll sit down and make a decision on what’s next.”

The WBC’s mandate came in the same week The Gypsy King’s co-promoter revealed he’d be open to making a fight with Whyte.

Top Rank chief Bob Arum told iFL TV: “I haven’t spoken to [WBC President] Mauricio [Sulaiman] yet, we will have to see [what they rule on Fury’s mandatory].

“I assume you are talking about Dillian Whyte, who is the number one contender.

“And that could be a big, big fight for Tyson, particularly if we held it in the UK.

“That is not out of the question, Dillian Whyte is a capable heavyweight and a fight against Tyson Fury or Wilder [or] whoever wins would be a very interesting fight.”

Whyte is refusing to get his hopes up over a potential grudge match with Fury, keeping his focus on getting past the tough and durable Wallin.

The Body Snatcher said: “Tyson Fury hasn’t spoken to anyone from my team about any fight.

“If he was serious, he would have sent emails or phone calls and we’d have been talking.

“If he was serious I would probably have even waited for him and not fought until December.

“But these fights are big fights, big fights don’t get made in one or two months.

‘There’s a lot of things that need to happen.”
