SOUTHERN England woke up to rain and snow this morning as the arctic blast continues to hit UK – with several amber warnings in place.
With much of the country having already experienced snow falls this week, the white stuff now appears to have hit counties such as Essex and Kent – and even London.
Meanwhile, back in the north, Leeds is also likely to get a dusting over the coming days too as the Met Office added a yellow weather warning for ice in the city.
It comes as the Met Office’s long range forecast says “significant snowfall” is expected to last for the rest of the month – and continue well in to February.
