BRITAIN is set to sizzle in 30C temperatures today with sunseekers flocking to beaches and parks to enjoy the warm weather.
Parts of the UK will be hotter than Ibiza, Mykonos and even California.
According to Netweather, the south-east can expect the hottest weather with the mercury reaching 30C.
The heatwave arrived as the Euros kicked off on what’s being dubbed the hottest weekend of the year – with Brits packing sunny beer gardens.
The Met Office’s long-range weather forecast reveals that temperatures are to be “very warm perhaps hot for a time” for the first part of the week starting June 14.
Met Office forecaster Alex Burkill said: “The picture this weekend looks very warm and sunny for much of the country.
“There will be some showers in parts of Northern Ireland and Scotland, and some cloud in the north-west though it will remain very warm in the sunshine.”
