A 700-MILE wide African heat bulge will send Briain into a balmy Indian Summer over the coming week.
Temperatures could hit 18C in parts, which will make the UK warmer than the south of France.
But it’s not all good news as the “heat bulge” is likely to bring 65mph storms later in the week thanks to low pressure.
The Weather Outlook forecaster Brian Gaze said: “People will be calling this Indian Summer-style warmth.”
The Met Office forecasts “particularly mild” conditions lasting past mid-November. But plunging temperatures and snow are due from late this month.
