A VICAR has been defrocked for seducing a vulnerable parishioner and bombarding her with lewd messages.
Twice-wed Keith Hanson targeted the mentally ill woman after they met at an African drumming performance.
He sent her hundreds of messages via text, email, WhatsApp and Facebook claiming to be feeling “isolated and lonely” and in “an unhappy marriage”.
The Church of England vicar later turned up at her house where they had sex three times, then dumped her.
He also sent her a grumpy message complaining her loo seat was broken, a tribunal revealed.
Hanson later claimed he was impotent, and the victim of the woman’s “sexual fantasies”.

But his account was rejected by the Bishop’s Disciplinary Tribunal for the Diocese of Sheffield, which banned him from the ministry for life.
The panel said he betrayed his position of trust as a vicar in Maltby and Thurcroft, in South Yorks.
Hanson resigned in January. He did not attend the tribunal hearing, claiming he was “mentally unwell”.
