Brooklyn decided to defer his four year photography course at the Parsons School of Design after bagging an internship in the UK, according to The Mirror.
The 19-year-old will work with a renowned photographer instead of continuing to study abroad.
He made the difficult decision after months of missing his famous mum and dad and his siblings Romeo, 15, Cruz, 13, and Harper, seven.
A source told the publication: “It sounds as if he was truly homesick and was feeling lonely out there.
“He adores his family, in the end it was the lure to come back to them all that swung it – and the prospect of a terrific internship.
His parents, especially his 44-year-old mum, are over the moon that he’s had a change of heart and wants to come home.
The source added: “She was telling pals she couldn’t believe how much she missed him and hated to be separated from him.
“Victoria is absolutely delighted at the news and couldn’t contain herself when it was all coming to plan – to have Brooklyn back under the same roof is a dream come true for her.”
However an insider has told The Sun Online that he has actually just deferred his place, saying: “He hasn’t quit, he’s just deferred his place so he can do an internship back in the UK.
“He was offered work with a prestigious photographer and couldn’t say no.”
