Chesterfield Magistrates’ Court saw footage shared by police of the three cars racing towards a roundabout.

Moments later, Webster’s Toyota Corolla ploughs into a lorry while travelling at a reckless speed.

The collision was captured on camera monitoring the side of the truck.

Police said the trio, who all pleaded guilty to dangerous driving, were ‘lucky to have not killed’ someone.

Chesterfield Magistrates’ Court heard the three men had spent seven hours drinking together at a pub before getting into their cars.

Robert had sank six pints and Michael polished off five, it was heard.

All three pleaded guilty to dangerous driving at Chesterfield Magistrates' Court and were released on bail to appear at Derby Crown Court in October for sentencing

Michael was seen overtaking brother Robert at 71mph in the lead-up to the collision at about 9.30pm, the court heard.

Prosecutor Becky Allsop told the court the offence was in a high category due to the alcohol and ‘prolonged’ bad driving.

All three were released on unconditional bail and will be sentenced in October at Derby Crown Court.

Sharing the video on Twitter, Derbyshire Police said: ‘This trio of dangerous drivers are lucky not to have killed someone.’
