FLOODING is expected in parts of the UK today with nine weather warnings in place across England alone.
A yellow weather warning is also in place for Scotland that could see transport disrupted by heavy showers and possible flooding of homes and businesses.
But a weird waft of unseasonably warm weather could see the mercury soar to 17C. The mild snap is expected to last until Wednesday thanks to the remnants of a tropical storm.
Met Office forecaster Tom Morgan said: “It will be fairly mild on Monday to Wednesday, especially in the southern regions, and will be a lot brighter and drier than what we’ve seen across the weekend, though rain will still come and go.
“It’s a different story for the rest of the UK, which will be considerably colder and wetter, with up to 150mm of rainfall expected in mountainous regions of Northern Ireland, Scotland and northern England.”
