ENGLAND were beaten 2-1 by Spain in a Uefa Nations match which was overshadowed by a horrific collision between Luke Shaw and Dani Carvajal.
The Manchester United left-back was stretchered off and required oxygen, which resulted in nine minutes stoppage time being played at Wembley.
What is the latest update on Luke Shaw’s injury?
Shaw was up and able to communicate with fans shortly after the England match, in what will be seen as a positive for Manchester United supporters.
The Three Lions have confirmed Shaw is walking about and talking, although he will have an x-ray at Wembley just for precautionary purposes.
He wrote on Twitter: “Thank you for all the love and support I am doing fine and am in the best hands. I’m a fighter so I will be back soon!”

When will Luke Shaw return for England and Manchester United?
Shaw has not been sent home from the England squad as things stand, but it would be very surprising to see him play in Tuesday’s friendly against Switzerland.
Without referring specifically to Luke Shaw’s injury, Southgate said he would look to reinforce the squad over before the match in Leicester by calling up some Under-21 players.
He commented: “We need to asses over the weekend, but I think it’s likely we’ll need to call some players in.
“We’ll probably look to do that from the Under-21s, but we just need to see positionally where we stand on Sunday morning.”
Any lengthy absence would be rotten luck for the former Southampton man, who recently revealed he almost had his leg amputated during a 17-month layoff following a double fracture in September 2015.
