When will YouTube be on the Nintendo Switch?

Users of the Nintendo Switch have complained that the screen should double-up as a video player.

But eagle-eyed gamers spotted a new app update that could mean YouTube is coming to the Switch.

Forum users on Resetera found that searching for unrelated apps on the Nintendo website brings up a listing for a YouTube app.

The listing reads: “Coming: Nov 08, 2018, Nintendo Switch”.

Nintendo have so far not commented on the YouTube rumours.

What is the Nintendo Switch?

The Switch is a games console that allows players to enjoy it at home and on your travels.

You can play the Switch on the go using the built-in screen as well as at home when plugged into a TV.

The Wall Street Journal reported in October 2018 that a new upgraded console could be here as early as next summer.

The new console “would likely share many features with the current version and be compatible with existing Switch game software,” according to the report.

It will be a mid-generation improvement in the vein of the slim PS4 or Xbox One S, rather than a serious upgrade like the PS4 Pro or Xbox One X, which both brought 4K graphics to the party.

One likely thing to be upgraded, according to the report, is the screen.

The current LCD screen lacks a lot of features that current phone screens now have as standard, and an upgrade to it could make it brighter, clearer, thinner and lighter.
