DANNY John-Jules got his kit off for charity in The Real Full Monty a while back and now he’s loving life on Strictly Come Dancing.

Who is Danny John-Jules? What is his background?

Danny was born September 16, 1960, in Paddington, London.

He is an actor, singer and dancer.

Danny has notched up quite a few notable TV roles in his career.

His most famous would be playing Cat in Red Dwarf since the 80s.

More recently he played policeman Dwayne Myers in the crime drama Death in Paradise.

It was revealed in April 2018 that he had quit the show after seven years.

Danny has also enjoyed a film career and supplied voices for the classic film Labyrinth, as well as starring in Little Shop of Horrors, Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, and Blade II.

When was Danny announced for Strictly Come Dancing 2018?

Danny John Jules was announced as the next star joining Strictly Come Dancing on August 13, 2018, on The One Show.

He said that he couldn’t wait to get started on the show and was looking forward to putting on his dancing shoes.

Because of his background in theatre, he may have a slight edge on some of the competition.

The star has worked as a professional dancer for much of his career.

Danny is paired with Amy Dowden.

How was Danny John-Jules involved in The Real Full Monty?

The Full Monty film’s 20th anniversary was marked with an ITV special, called The Real Full Monty — ending with the celebrities taking their clothes off at the London Palladium.

Diversity dancer Ashley Banjo prepared the stars for the show.

The show was supported by charities Movember, Cancer Research, Everyman and Prostate Cancer UK to raise awareness.

Joining Danny in baring all for the cheeky tribute were Harry Judd from McFly, Towie’s Elliott WrightWayne Sleep, Emmerdale’s Matthew Wolfenden, Mark Foster, the former Olympic swimmer, Dominic Littlewood, who is a consumer affairs journalist and Alexander Armstrong, who is famed for quiz show Pointless.
