Who played Hannah Barton on Emmerdale?

Hannah Barton was played by Grace Cassidy.

Grace is an English actress who was born on March 24, 1993.

As well as Emmerdale, she has also starred in Grange Hill and Casualty.

She now has aspirations to become a director.

When did Grace Cassidy join the cast of Emmerdale?

Grace’s first appearance as Hannah Barton was in July 2009.

She was the youngest child of John Barton and Moira Dingle.

She was unlucky in love as her relationships with characters Andy Sugden, Alex Moss and Isaac Nuttall failed.

Her last appearance was in June 2012.

Why did Hannah Barton leave Emmerdale?

Hannah left Emmerdale to start a new life in London.

Speaking about her decision to quit the ITV soap, Grace said: “Working on Emmerdale has been one of the best periods of my life.

“However, I felt the time was right to move on as I still have so much to learn.

“I can’t thank Stuart and the team enough for making me feel so welcome. I will never forget the opportunity I was given.”

The character has now undergone a gender reassignment and returned on June 25, 2018 as Matty, who is played by Ash Palmisciano.
