IT’S a scary time for Sinead Tinker in Coronation Street as she prepares for her final treatment for her cervical cancer.
But what we all want to know is if Sinead will beat the cancer and get a happy ever after with Daniel and baby Bertie. Here’s the lowdown…
Will Sinead Tinker beat cancer in Coronation Street?
Sinead is preparing to have her final round of treatment, which is called Brachytherpy.
The new mum is scared because it’s a procedure where radiation is actually placed inside the body. It’s often used and is effective at treating cervical cancer.
It’s sometimes known as internal radiation therapy.
It’s looking good for Sinead at the moment though. She managed to have chemotherapy and radiotherapy after having an emergency c-section and giving birth to baby Bertie early.
Also, Corrie has just aired one heart-breaking death when Rana Habeeb died in Kate Connor’s arms, so it’s unlikely viewers would be put through something so devastating again so quickly.

Is actress Kate McGlynn leaving Coronation Street?
More good news is that there’s been no official announcement that Katie McGlynn, who plays Sinead, is leaving the ITV soap.
In fact, Katie has actually hinted that her character will survive the terrifying cancer battle.
The actress recently renewed her Corrie contract, meaning that Sinead will be on-screen at least until 2020.
Fans had feared Sinead would be killed off after she was diagnosed with an aggressive form of cervical cancer last Autumn.
The actress spilled to the Daily Star Sunday: “I’m going to be here until next year. It’s a long running story.
“If I get to stay longer it will be amazing because Sinead is a great character.”
