Wives of world leaders are joined by Philip May as they pose for photos at the G20 summit in Japan

Brigette Macron and Argentinian First Lady Juliana Awada brought a touch of glamour to proceedings as the world’s First Ladies met at the G20 summit in Kyoto on Friday.

The partners and wives of the world’s leaders cut a stylish figure as they posed for a ‘family photo’ in Tofuku-ji Temple.

Leading the way, Juliana, 44 – the wife of Argentinian President Mauricio Macri – opted for a yellow floral maxi dress, which she paired with brown sandals.

Brigitte Macron, 66 – the wife of French President Emmanuel, brought a splash of colour to the occasion in a blue dress, while Małgorzata Sochacka, 62 – the wife of European Council President Donald Tusk – similarly wore a pretty pastel outfit.

However, while her husband Donald Trump exchanged greetings with a grinning Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salma, the usually stylish Melania, 49, was noticeably absent.

Japan’s Prime Minister Shinzo Abe’s wife Akie Abe, 57, took centre stage in a two-toned purple dress which she paired with black patent shoes, while the former President of Indonesia Susilo Bambang’s wife Yudhoyono, 66, also smiled for the camera.

She donned a colourful bright paisley-pattered dress complete with jewel neck detail and accessorised with a black bag which she carried on her left arm.

Others at the meeting included Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez’s wife Maria, who opted for a summery white dress with peter pan collar, and Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison’s wife Jenny, 51, who opted for a silk blue number.

They were all joined by British Prime Minister Theresa May’s husband Philip, who looked smart in a black blazer, white shirt and tie as he gave a wave to cameras.
