A woman who was alerted to a ‘suspicious person’ by her home CCTV was left amused when it turned out to be an image of a dog printed on one of her pillows.
Taking to TikTok, British user brooklynbridge03 explained that her phone had alerted her to an intruder, but when she checked she soon realised it was a harmless mistake.
Alongside several images, she took to the social media platform and joked: ‘My Nest cam caught a suspicious person lmao,’ The Mirror reports.
Nest indoor security cameras are designed so people can keep an eye on their homes if they are away and send alerts to your phone if they spot something unusual.
An anonymous British woman took to TikTok and told how her home CCTV alerted her to ‘suspicious person’ – but it turned out to be an image of a dog printed on one of her pillows
But in this case, all it had picked up was a cushion featuring two embroidered dogs wearing glasses that were placed on the sofa in her own living room.
The app then asked the woman to confirm if she ‘knew this person’ after catching them on camera at 6.01pm.
After a moment of worry, the woman quickly realised she has nothing to worry about after all.
Many found the video hilarious and it has since been watched by more than 700,000 people.

‘And? Do you know this person or not?’
Someone else replied saying: ‘Hmmmm, he looks suspicious. Maybe he’s using those glasses as a disguise.’
A fourth commented: ‘I have the same problem, my camera caught the paper towel roll trying to break into my house and asked if I recognised its face.’
