WHAT to write on your dating app profile is something most of us spend days – if not, WEEKS – agonising over.
Well rather than trying to figure out which song lyric best sums you up (spoiler alert: no one reads these), one savvy singleton decided to get more practical with her Hinge account.
Sarina created a Hinge profile to find a single guy who would fix her drawers for free[/caption]
TikTok user Sarina, 20, from Canada, filmed herself scrolling through her Hinge profile earlier this week in search of someone who could mend her broke IKEA dresser.
She captioned the video: “Hit me up if you can fix my horrible IKEA malm dresser drawers.”
Unlike Tinder, Hinge asks users to answer a series of questions to make up their profile – i.e. what was your worst first date? What is your most embarrassing song on Spotify?
Determined to keep the subject on her broken drawers, Sarina said her “dream man” was someone who could fix it for her.
She posted pictures of the broken dresser on her profile[/caption]
And when asked the “one thing she’d love to know” about a match, she cheekily wrote: “If you’re good at building things.”
In response to the statement “I’ll know it’s time to delete Hinge when…”, she added: “My drawers are fixed.”
And if that wasn’t enough, Sarina superimposed a picture of herself onto a stock photo of the IKEA drawers along with a stickman drawing of someone fixing them.
Needless to say, the video has racked up over 34,000 “likes” – and when a fan asked if she’d been successful, Salina said: “YESS Hinge is the place to get it done.”
Labelling Salina a “hero”, TikTok users were desperate for a “part two” to find out about the bloke who fixed the drawers.
“GIRL BE CAREFUL,” one user joked. “I met someone off Bumble to help build my couch and now I have serious feelings for him.”
Another added: “Girl you’re playing Queen’s Gambit chess while we’re out here playing checkers.”
A third wrote: “OMG why is this actually so smart!”
